Community Involvement

Tahoe Custom Builders is committed to serving the communities of North Texas by donating time and resources to make our neighborhoods a better place to live and work.

In particular, Jay Brown has served the City of Keller (Tahoe Custom Builders' headquarters) since 2001 on Keller's Planning and Zoning Commission. He has been the Chairman of Keller's P&Z for the past six years. Additionally, he sat on the city's Technical Review Committee, working with city staff and the development community to implement comprehensive revisions to Keller's Unified Development Code.

Recently, Jay was appointed by the Keller City Council to serve on the newly created Future Land Use Advisory Committee to perform a comprehensive review of Keller's Future Land Use Plan, an important document that guides developers to understand the city's vision of residential and commercial development.

While we support a number of charitable efforts in Northeast Tarrant County, our primary philanthropy is the Meals on Wheels association. Senior hunger is prevalent in Texas, and Jay has been delivering Meals on Wheels to Tarrant County seniors for more than 18 years. While serving our customers keeps us busy, Tahoe Custom Builders is proud to take the time and energy to stay involved with the communities that have supported our business for all these years.
